Love those Kings

Isn't it amazing to watch the difference between a team that happens to be making there shots and a team that can't make anything? Well Tuesday night we watched a team who couldn't make any of there shots then Friday a team that couldn't miss! This is kind of like life some days your knocking it out of the park and doing great and the next day you may not do quite as well, the key is to keep going, keep trying, keep seeking after that win. I can't wait for Sunday's game. The other thing that really gets my attention is the advantage of the home crowd. Last night Sean and some of the guys came to watch the game along with Pastor Mark and Karen. Pastor Mark is a supersonics fan, and a real annoying one at that, please pray for him or harras him sunday at church. God needs to deliver him desperately from the land of gray, Seattle.

Looking forward to taking my kids to the American River today, it looks great outside. Aren't we blessed to live in such an awesome place of our country!

The day before

Well another Wednesday has almost arrived! The day before a Wednesday is a crazy day for me personally, I am extremely passionate about being properly prepared for our midweek, oxygen service so the day before is the day where everything must be done. My day starts at 8:00 in the office with our apex students and then to executive staff meeting with Pastor Rick then onto the final preps for our Wednesday night service. This week we're talking about being effective in our lives and Christian walk.
Tuesday night also holds a special meaning to me personally because.. . . . . . . . . . . . . the Kings game is on!!! A bunch of the students are coming over for the game and of course food! Let's hope Mike Bibby decides to show up tonight!

Oxygen United Event

I've spent a good part of the day thinking about the Oxygen United event last night out in the field where the new Oxygen Center will be located. My thoughts have centered around a passion to see students filled with power to live life to the fullest. I'm so excited to work with students who are training instead of trying. My continued dream is to watch as students are filled with power and strength while drawing closer to God and understanding his ways more and more everyday.

My life right now is filled with faith and, in fact, I am required to live by faith as we stretch ourselves to touch students and families by whatever means necessary.

I spent alot of time this week with one student in particular who is simply stunning. She's had her ups and downs like many of us but the ups are beginning to outweigh the downs as she draws closer to Jesus. I've come to the understanding that all of us will fall it's getting up that counts and learning from the last fall hoping not to make the same mistake twice, and even if we do we get up again until we figure it out.

This is the first official entry into my blog area and I hope to get responses from many of you who read these simple entries. Remember this one simple thing, faith that is accompanied by action . . . is unstoppable! Be UNstoppable. Act on what you believe and live this life we've been given to the fullest. Let's not waist a moment and give our best to every thing we touch!

DUMELA!

I have a passion for the book of James.   I like the straight forward no nonsense talk that simply makes sense.    For example; Faith without works is dead. This is one of the most intense phrases in the bible.   It makes sense, if I don’t act on what I believe is it truly my belief or just something I would like to believe in?   How about you? What’s your true belief?   Do you really believe and prove it by the way you live?    In Africa I learned a word that students without hope would say to us as we were leaving ,  they would yell out,   DUMELA!   I found out just before we left this word meant, just believe, and live like you believe.
