Living life around what you can give rather than what you get? Sounds crazy, this is the kind of life Jesus lived and compelled us to live as well. A life of giving. Amazing how it works, the more I give the more God provides and trusts me with. He knows I'm not going to hoard and keep things to myself. Check out what Ephesians says.
Ephesians 5:25Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ's love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They're really doing themselves a favor—since they're already "one" in marriage.
This doesn't just count for marriage, it applies to our whole life. Let's live this kind of life together.

A woman of Truth doesn't want her husband to "buy her a white silk dress" and tell her that is what will make her "holy." A woman of Truth wants her husband to be a man of Truth. Truth isn't dressed in fancy clothes. It doesn't concern itself with making impressions on others about how "holy" it looks.
